Date: 2005-03-01 06:34 am (UTC)It's kind of like the bastard child of the ACT and the GRE, and they're kind of a make-or-break deal, if you are particularly stuck on applying to one specific school or another.
I'm not 100% certain how it all works, not having gone to secondary school in the UK, but I lived there for a year and went to university there, and therefore heard a lot about the A-levels from my classmates, as well as reading about educational standards, school rankings, and testing in the newspapers.
