You scored 100% Beginner, 86% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 72% Expert! You have an extremly good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels's questions correct. This is an exceptional score.
Yes. I am exceptional. I think we're all on the same page there. However, can someone please tell me WTF a levels's is?

Date: 2005-03-01 06:34 am (UTC)It's kind of like the bastard child of the ACT and the GRE, and they're kind of a make-or-break deal, if you are particularly stuck on applying to one specific school or another.
I'm not 100% certain how it all works, not having gone to secondary school in the UK, but I lived there for a year and went to university there, and therefore heard a lot about the A-levels from my classmates, as well as reading about educational standards, school rankings, and testing in the newspapers.

Date: 2005-03-01 12:40 pm (UTC)It was a lot like a series of quizes and worksheets my Freshman English teacher deluged us with, though, so it was pretty much the sme test I took about 400 times 14 years ago.

I find it annoying that I can't find a way on the site to see which questions they rate as which level, and which questions I got wrong. Makes me wonder how real the test actually is. And the site DOES list some of the other ratings. I guess English Genius is one who scores 75% or better on the "expert" questions.
I want to know what questiong I got wrong, dammit!

I can't say that I was irritated, but I do share Ivy's annoyance at not being able to find out which question(s) I got wrong.
And please, let's be careful with those apostrophes, (http://angryflower.com/bobsqu.gif) folks. People could get hurt.
