I've got some orchids. More orchids than you probably think, if you've been keeping track, and more KINDS of orchids than just phalaenopsis. Phals are fine and there's nothing wrong with having them but I am not ever... satisfied. I'm probably one of those Schulyer sisters, a fucking difficult and perpetually angry one, if there is one of those.
Obviously there are now more orchids. You knew this was happening. But there are also ones I've had for more than a full year.

Orchid updates
Jul. 25th, 2024 04:22 pmSo I've had some rehab Phalaenopsis orchids for a while now. I got them last year from my friend Lala because they were not thriving at her house and I felt like I could help them thrive better.

Okay, these are plants and they do not do much in the day-to-day, but if you take before-n-after pix, you can sometimes see how they get on. Also, eagle-eyed people can maybe see some progress on the book room project BEFORE the big reveal, which I guess is also somewhat exciting for values of small excitement.

Fall yard work
Sep. 28th, 2023 08:25 amI finally cut the yard now that the rain has stopped for a day or two. Since it's getting to be fall, I also did some fall yard work.
