Orchid updates
Jul. 25th, 2024 04:22 pmSo I've had some rehab Phalaenopsis orchids for a while now. I got them last year from my friend Lala because they were not thriving at her house and I felt like I could help them thrive better.

And here's Roots, today:

There are a lot of "help me save my orchid" posts on the orchid subreddit... and a lot of pictures of unhappy orchids doing poorly. But sometimes the orchids can do better. Sometimes the poster follows the advice and fixes things and the orchid does better. :)
If you have trouble seeing improvement (which I am not sure I can understand), take a look at the most-recent leaves compared to the older leaves. Bigger leaves is a sign that the plant is doing well. Smaller leaves is a sign that the plant does not have enough energy to make... bigger leaves.
