Home Improvements -- Bathroom Afghan!!
Aug. 5th, 2020 08:34 pmI know you all figured I forgot about (or abandoned) the Bathroom Afghan project. But no!
I have been working on it.
Here it is fully assembled! (But not felted.)

Here it is felted and installed on the New Bathroom Floor that I recently installed. No, I did not weave the ends in. I am going for a rustic look, here. Also, is a bath mat and I couldn't be arsed.

Why is this important? Because I have measured for, designed, and counted the blue and white tiles needed to TILE THE TUB SURROUND in an appropriate blue-and-white pattern that has some callbacks to this checkerboard (but is not ENTIRELY blue and white checkerboard because jesus fuck the blue tiles are like four damn dollars a square foot). I will order them tomorrow so that we may have a TILED TUB SURROUND how awesome will that be?!?.
Also, yes, the bathroom is currently painted a greyish green, visible in the felted-n-installed picture. Once the damn tile is done, the bathroom will be repainted in a white that works for me with coordinating blue designs stenciled on the walls because it is my house and I can do whatever the fuck I want. I'm thinking cattails and dragonflies. This does mean I'm going to have to design and cut stencils. And I suck at art. But anyway. Painting bathroom is a ways off. Tile first.
