Afghan Accountability part the unending
Feb. 20th, 2026 07:57 amThis damn scarf is cursed. All the yarn is the same color and same dye lot. It says it is all the same.

Clearly knitting while watching television is not doing me any favors and obviously I need to pay way more attention to bullshit things like COLOR. The yarn, it is a lie. I ripped back to the change and am starting again from there with yarn that, again, allegedly matches. I am starting to feel the yarn is conspiring against me.
*sigh*
In other news, I did some more spinning which I then plied with the two ply white that was insufficient by itself and I like the resultant product enough to try knitting with it. I was worried it would be way overplied and weird but it is not. Probably I underply as a general rule. Anyway, I have to finish the brown square that is on the needles before we delve into the new color.
Here's the pre-plying bobbin, which is spun in the grease. After this picture, I plied it with the white two ply that I didn't like, niddy-noddy'd it up into a hank, tied it off, washed it and rinsed 3x, hung it to dry, and then wound it on my ball winder. It's in center pull balls, ready to go at this point. I did not get a picture of the finished product because I was having Big Feelings about the purple yarn and not doing my best documenting.
