It's still like I'm in a brand new house with a lot of unpacked boxes -- the new hard drive and all, I mean. I exported bookmarks and shit but there are a lot of settings that I basically have to put back in. The size of type in Semagic, for example. What is with this wee type? I'm old. I can't see print that small, for fuck's sake. The default is fucking 8 point type. Who has eyes that good?
We had some weather yesterday. I didn't do anything with the road as we only got about three inches of snow that got sleeted on a bit -- not really worth my time. Anyway, the truck drives out in 2-wheel, so it can't be that bad. (The green pickup is helpless in the snow.)
This morning, I took the cat in to get more shots put into it. Youbee is now a three hundred dollar cat. I spent $240.00 on the first round of shots-n-spay and now I've spent forty-eight more dollars on additional shots. You do the math. Youbee was not real happy about going into the cat carrier, but she did. She was also not real happy about being at-the-vet (her body language was totally UNHAPPY CAT) but she did not claw anyone or offer to bite anyone (we've had lessons along those lines). Just... she was all curled up and not interested in moving and busy making-herself-small. Poor kitty.
I shoveled walks this morning because I didn't get them done yesterday due to being at the memorial service and following luncheon thing until 3 PM. It kind of blew the day at work but work has been pretty quiet of late. Everything's rented except (a) the office at 136 and (b) the little store I'm not renting to anyone anymore. Shoveling was before the 24-hrs following the "weather event" and went well enough as it was above freezing and things were melting out as I was shoveling. Shoveling in below-freezing temperatures never seems as much of an accomplishment. Seeing things melt is very rewarding for me.
Following that, I did a late lunch at Heather's where we had a pork thing with bacon and also cauliflower with bacon and the really delightful oatmeal cake thing (recipe coming to a wiki near you one day Real Soon Now) for dessert. The oatmeal cake did not have bacon.
I also noted, driving down of the top of Ray's Hill this morning, that the trees? They are getting red. Red is for spring.

Eldar spawn stole hers off her plate and devoured it.
