Oh, I had a shower curtain before this. It was just blue plastic (the bathroom is green) with plastic grommets (read: tearing out) and plastic blue not-shiny-metal hangers that did not slide easily on the shower curtain rod. The new shower curtain, in inoffensive clear ("clear" is an inoffensive color), has metal grommets that do not tear out and it is hung from shiny metal hangers that slide well. I see this as a substantial improvement over the previous system.
The reason I'd had such an unacceptable shower curtain was that it was free and I was waiting for it to wear out so that I could justify the twelve or fifteen bucks for a new one. I honestly didn't NEED to buy the metal shiny metal hangers with balls but they were very cute and not horribly expensive.
