Jul. 28th, 2007 11:04 pmToday I have for you a story in pictures. It's a good story and it has a happy ending which, unfortunately, I didn't actually get because I was too busy laughing in the way that you laugh when... well... you'll see.
Meet Bradley (the boy) and Smoke (the horse).

Bradley and Smoke run up to Thread The Needle.

Now, they have gone through the pair of poles, circled the single pole at the apex (threaded the needle), and are exiting the pair of poles again. Note the reins.

Bradley and Smoke run homeward at a hell of a clip.

Bradley has dropped the reins entirely.

At this point, Bradley informed the audience (loudly) "I got no reins!" and then, coming up on the fence, he reached down, grabbed the rein on one side, and pulled Smoke (who really isn't as mean as the first picture might lead you to believe) to a stop without anyone dying or hitting the fence. We all laughed after he got stopped.
Plus, also, note excellent picture skilz on behalf of my shiny new camera. These blow up really nicely and they're only 90% of the originals anyway. I believe that I've mentioned how much I <3 my camera. Well. I do. A lot. I <3 the eight hundred dollar zoom lens, too. It rocks. It's heavy and it doesn't have VR but it focuses damn fast and it's sharp as can be. Yay!
