which_chickI've been slacking, I know, and I'm sorry about that. The evil virus thing was *not* gone in 48 hours, as allegedly was supposed to happen. I am still not really firing on all cylinders.
I did get my taxes done yesterday and sent off into the great beyond. Goodbye, money, I hardly knew ye. Filing my taxen cost $2923 this year above and beyond the withholding that happened automagically, which is a little more than is typical. Usually I only get hit to the tune of about $1500 or so. (This would be why I do not file early. There is never a refund for me.) I am not entirely sure what would happen if I didn't pony up the money I allegedly owe, but I'm pretty sure jack-booted thugs are involved and anyhow, it's not an issue because I sent in the money. I always send in the money, every year. I just wish... they wouldn't waste it with such an air of profligacy, is all.
