I've talked about Sand Tarts before as one of my very favorite holiday cookies. Because I've been smitten with limes since the onset of guacamole season, I took it upon myself to make sand tarts with grated lime peel instead of with grated lemon peel. That was an educational experience.

I spent the rest of the day plowing through mixed-quality Snarry fic in an effort to get over the cookie debacle. (The fact that it was a debacle didn't stop me from eating soggy lime sand tarts.) It's frankly amazing how many happy endings we get in Snarry fic. (I'm not complaining. I like happy endings well enough and the genuinely unhappy ending in smut fanfic is an avis rara enough that the classic efforts still make me all weepy-eyed.)
