Saturday I dinnered (Petit Louis on Roland Ave. in Baltimore) on Mom's nickle. It's damn spiffy French bistro food, if you can afford it. We each had an appetizer and an entree and a dessert and dropped eighty bucks on the food. Sunday, I fixed mom breakfast (strawberry crepes) and then we operaed (Tales of Hoffman) and drove home. That pretty much ate up the weekend.

As expected, there was no time for horses. *sigh* I also drove past the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival on my way to my mother's. I wanted to go to Md S&W, but since I'd already booked the weekend, there wasn't time. Perhaps next year.

And I've got an appointment at the Evil Perio Guy. Yippee. This is just shaping up to be one of them thar days.

I did not get to see the Evil Perio Guy. I got his wife (similarly evil and Perio-rific) instead. I mentioned that this was okay because I could still overpower her and escape if I needed to. (This is why I pick fairly dinky-sized health-care professionals.) The Evil Perio Guy's Wife said nice things about the gums, so yay on that front. I get to go to the regular dentist in September and the Evil Perio Guy again in January. Joy, joy, joy.

It was almost too lovely to be at work today. I had a good day with the horses after work and discovered at suppertime that mango-and-banana made a really good fruit smoothie.

Stuff to look at: Bluebells, a dogwood flower, and a fruit tree, quite possibly a pear tree, shot in the evening, on the hill over where the horses live.

Photoshop was not involved. I don't color adjust or anything fancy. What you see is what the camera took, cropped for my tastes. I crop using 20/20, a freebie image cropping program I picked up somewhere. I know how to use it and I don't have trouble understanding my options with it. (That'd be my primary beef with Photoshop. It's more image processing than I really want or need.) Someday I'll supply some originals along with the croppings and a bit of commentary so that all ya'll can read about how and why I slice up the originals. I think that'd be interesting.

However, that day is not today.

I'm real pleased with the bluebells. They came out right nice. It was one fuck of a gorgeous morning and the light was just right to make the greens luminous. I love the light through leaves. It's pretty, specially this time of year when we've not had enough green for a couple of months.
