Some things piss me off more than normal people understand. One of these things is Penn State Nittany Lion paw decals for one's auto.

The hat project is complete except for blocking (making a knitted wool garment wet and gently putting it in the shape it is to have for life so that it can dry that way and get used to the way of things. If this were a sweater, I'd have done the blocking thing before sewing up the sweater, but as this is a hat I could have (mostly) made out of one piece of string, there is no sewing up and therefore blocking is going to happen at the very end.) which I think will flatten out the ear flaps somewhat from their currently rounded old-fashioned football helmet orientation.
