I just realized. Akio has a mullet. No, really. Mullet. Short top and sides, long in the back. Iffn it ain't a mullet, it's a very mullet-like hairstyle.

Also, whoever animated this fucking thing never actually rode in a convertible. If you're in a convertible and you've got long hair that isn't tied firmly down, it DOES NOT blow back gracefully. It blows forward and whips you in the face, in great huge snarls. I know this from practical experience. You'd have to be son of the morning to make your hair blow back attractively while driving in your convertible because it just doesn't do that in the real world. See? Absolute proof, there. The man's pure evil.

Roses do not actually grow well in glass conservatories. The hot, humid environment of a conservatory would make growing roses there an unending battle against black spot, powdery mildew, and other fungal shit such as roses are prone to. They'd do a lot better outside in the fresh air and sunshine. I'm just sayin'...

I've been keeping notes. The car thing shows up after the end of the black rose stuff. I really like the car thing. I really like a lot of Utena, actually. Anyway, practically everyone on the planet goes for a ride in Akio's car. We're on Episode 31, here, and so far, we've had Touga, Saionji, Kozue and Miki, Shiori and Ruka, Ruka and Jury, and Utena. There's not a ton of cast left. I know we get Anthy here in a bit, also Nanami. That's about all the principals, innit?

This isn't getting anything done in the world of AMV production, but I'm having a good time and that's what really counts.

Monday night is grocery night! (I am Jack's astonishingly ineffective attempt to sound enthusiastic about the rather lackluster dagger grocery store I see before me.)

Old budget was $1809.09.
I spent $22.79 this evening.
New budget: $1786.30

Constant reader will probably be aware that this week was supposed to be collards week at Chez Moi. The grocery store, it must be said, did not contain any collards so it's GOING TO BE bok choy week instead of collards week. (I do not adore bok choy the way I do collards, but they were the prettiest green the store had.) Now, you might think that this would lead into a lovely rant on the state of the freaking grocery and some nights it might. Not, however, tonight. Tonight I have a DVD of Caligula, a film I have not yet seen and which I intend to watch over dinner. The employee loaned it to me. I think he's probably trying to get me back for loaning him the entirely too squicky Audition.
