Jan. 26th, 2005 05:56 pmRoy loaned me West Wing (first season). I should not mainline a season-show of television, but I keep doing it when the opportunity presents itself. West Wing isn't quite as tasty as early Buffy or mid-X-files, but it's fun enough that I went to bed last night after 6 AM this morning and I probably won't get much sleep tonight either. West Wing is lovely even though they're liberals. Roy said he didn't think I would find that a problem, and I'm pleasantly surprised to find that I don't. The show sparkles when expedient wins over moral. I like those moments a lot, when the characters have to do the less-moral, less internally-comfortable thing so that they can serve the greater good. I'm such an angst-whore.
Also, not that this should be news, I'm lusting over Josh, capably portrayed by Bradley Whitford. He's quite the hottie. Quite. Now, while I'll lust over pretty much anything that's not nailed down, let us all give a moment of silent thanks that this particular lust object is a real (not animated) person who's old enough for me to lust over in a guilt-free fashion so that we can skip the justification and go directly to the "Oh, dude, he is so hot..." part of the program. :)
Other lust-worthy objects on the show: Josh's cute blond assistant Donna. Leo's adorable nymph of a daughter, Mallory. Charlie (the personal assistant to the president). The delightful blond reporter guy, Danny. I think that about covers it.
No, I am not forgetting about Sam (Rob Lowe). He's a pretty man, and I'll cop to that, but he doesn't do it for me at all. Not lust-worthy unless he's wearing glasses and being all Mr. Hardball Lawyer. When he's like that, he's significantly hotter than usual.
