To the persons in charge of doling out the eventitude for any given week: This week I got lots of events. Lots of events. Some of them were happier than others, but the thing I will remember most is the sheer quantity of events. While I appreciate the effort that you put into planning thls level of excitement for me, it's a little tiring Please see to it that the week I get for next week is on the boring side. KTHXBYE!

This is totally understandable.

I hope you have a nice snow free week.

Also...how are the horses?

What with all the other events that took place during this week, the horses slid to the sidelines. While I admit that in an ordinary week, dead horses would certainly be the lead news article, this week was so chock-full-o-events that unfortunately, they were surpassed by other news that took up more space in my brain. However, I will investigate the horse situation this weekend in between visits to the hospital.

Without any grounds for saying so other than how they looked when I went to visit the horses in person after work on Monday or Tuesday, whenever that was, I would say Goldrush and Briar's two-year-old are probably dead by now. They looked like hell when last I saw them. The three that were standing (Sass, Ginger, and Julie's mare) when I visited are probably still alive. Everybody else is probably fine and I'd for sure have gotten a phone call if any of mine were the least bit poorly.

It is as I predicted. The two that were down are dead. The three that were still standing are still standing. Everyone else is presumed fine. Death toll currently at five... two long yearlings, Chelsea, Goldrush, and Briar's two year old filly.

Oooooooo, jeez. No, sorry. We've got you down for the alien invasion and the hailstorm. And that's just Monday.

Hailstorm, shmailstorm. These are clearly the end times. Where's my rain of frogs?

We're fresh out of axolotls. We're having a special on the mythical Quetzalcoatl (http://weber.ucsd.edu/~anthclub/quetzalcoatl/quetzal.htm) and the extinct quetzalcoatlus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quetzalcoatlus), however. Lovely plumage.

Well, at least they've got the same "ottle" sound, right? That's close enough, I guess.
