The real problem with Sundays is that the distance between thinking I would really like some no-bake cookies and actually being able to eat no-bake cookies (still warm and squishy) is about twenty minutes. *sigh*

In other news, I note with interest that the local sports team, which plays some sort of game with a non-spherical ball and a lot of protective gear (so it's not rugby) is apparently going to something called The Superbowl despite being supposed-to-lose last weekend (they didn't) and supposed-to-lose this weekend (they still didn't). In honor of this impending event, my local radio station has been playing the Steelers Here We Go song. While I rather think that they'd have quit playing it if the Steelers lost today's game, the Steelers did NOT lose today's game so I imagine I'm going to be hearing rather a lot of the damn song for the next week. It is quite possible that some of you in the audience have missed out on this song. Fortunately, it is being given away free on many interwebby fan site thingies so that those of you unlucky enough to not-live-here can still appreciate the delights of the Steelers Here We Go song. I downloaded my copy here. As topical ephemera go, it's not a badly-done fight song and it's fairly educational about the current cast of players for the Steelers. Broaden those horizons, people!

Eagles fans

After listening to the song, I am continually surprised that Eagles fans can count to 3 or spell "Eagles." An additional negative, as far as I am concerned, is the propensity for Philly fans (the best in the world) for doing the "E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!" chant at Phillies games.

Steeler-related songs are clearly superior, especially the Pittsburgh Steeler Polka.
