which_chickToday has not been very productive. I took a couple of swipes at the remaining unstacked wood in the yard, but not enough to let me cut the grass. There's also going to have to be some raking on that front as there's all wood bits through the grass. The grass (at my house this is a blanket term for herbaceous green material that can be mown with a lawnmower) is getting a bit long because I haven't cut it since sometime in early June. I made some progress on the woodpile, anyway. What the hell... fall is a long way off and I'm still not feeling too pressed about the whole firewood situation.
After I got done messing with the wood, I considered writing a few explanatory remarks on Utena for my mother, who wants to watch it in her anime watching project. While I'm not entirely sure there's a good way to say "Among other things, this anime posits homosexuality as a viable solution to the pressing problem of brother-sister incest", I did figure that I should be fully briefed in case I wanted to look for a good way to say that to my mother, who still doesn't get, er, WIITWD with the anime. Maybe if I dressed it up in words like art deco and something classier-sounding than genderfuck... I'll work on it. Anyway, I rewatched huge chunks of it (the Black Rose stuff is my very favoritest) in the background while doing some educational, if less than thrilling, reading in the foreground. (No, there isn't a whole lot that modern medical science can do for the stuck-pig problem. Yippee. Unless things get a hell of a lot worse on that front, I'll carry on as I have been, then. *sigh* I still think I should be allowed to opt-out of technology I'm not fucking using. In a more suitably-organized world, this would be possible.)
I also washed the cat with more-favored-nation status and, as I washed the other cat yesterday, both cats have now been washed and flea-combed. I also doused the cats with flea-off glop (Frontline) in the hopes of removing all flea-bearing potential from the cats. Fleas are not an option.
After that, I read fanfic porn (Fushigi Yuugi [for which I am definitely going to hell -- it's such a charmingly fluffy anime that reading porn made out if it is even wronger than usual], WK [delightfully angsty, always], and GW [an embarrassment of riches in a wealth of genres]). I would have read Utena porn but there isn't a ton of it afoot -- Utena, which you'd think would be a promising hotbed of smut, is NOT a wellspring of delightfully-satisfying fic. I think that this is because canon is already sufficiently amusing on the smut front.
And the conversational disconnect: I was talking to the boy on Friday about the being-fucked-by-horses news item. This is an item of relevance for our little talks because he believes the thing about Catherine the Great, which as all ya'll know as of Friday's postings, is so not true. He refuses to believe me on the Catherine the Great thing, probably because he's not willing to give up an incorrect story that's more amusing than the truth. I also mentioned the news item because he's got this knee-jerk response to all things queer: "THAT'S JUST SICK AND WRONG!!" *sigh* Product of his environment, I suppose. Anyway, I knew he'd say that, so I said "Why is being queer sick and wrong?" Seriously. I wanted to know why he thought that. And he says to me "Did you ever read the Bible?" (I will wager quite large sums of money on the odds that I've read more of the Bible than he has.) What am I supposed to say to that? Yes, but it's not as funny as The Book of Mormon or possibly You've got to be kidding me...You're a literalist? or Ash, I think the whole thing is fiction. Make-believe. Pretend. I don't really want to get into the atheist discussion with the boy. It's not the sort of thing I advertise, living where I do. It upsets people.
Leviticus is a big old pile of Thou Shalt Not dictates. Fortunately for the godless heathens in the audience (and I can see you there, slinking down in your chairs, damn your eyes), I have a copy of the Bible here handy, KJV and everything, so that I can find the relevant portions for us. Interestingly, Leviticus 20:15 has this to offer on being fucked by horses: And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast. God thinks of everything!
Ah, right, here it is. Leviticus 18:22 Thou not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Right. I'm down with that. All ya'll, there's to be no fucking-of-pussy on men. If you're going to fuck men, please use the available pre-drilled holes that they DO have instead of trying to use the chick hole that they haven't got. Sensible rule, that.

It gets me off the hook for having to figure out what they are supposed to be (never a good game to be playing anyway) and unless I'm looking to fuck them in the very near future, their self-classification and the sorts of people they fuck aren't particularly my problem anyway.
You want to declare you're a man and you want your college to agree with that and let you continue your degree even though it's a women's college (http://www.amptoons.com/blog/archives/2005/05/16/the-iwf-and-their-skills-of-exposing-the-evil-feminist-gender-switching-agenda-strikes-again/)? Good luck. I'm not stopping you. It might be easier, though, if you have thoughts along those lines, to pick a college fmore open to that sort of thing (http://www.livejournal.com/community/genderqueer/306008.html) than Smith. Brown and Wesleyan seem to be handling these issues with somewhat more grace and aplomb.
