which_chickI've got to get a shower and head out to see off the old year and welcome in the new. There will be cookies (moravian spice and sand tart) as well as adult beverages (I've got a room at the hotel for the night and I'm over 21, so no worries there) and so forth. I do not expect the evening to contain any anonymous sex with people I don't know very well or any nonanonymous sex with people I know well, for that matter. *sigh* I'm getting old, I think. One of the high points of the event will be Mark, whom I don't see as often as I would like.
I'm taking my laptop to prevent giving the devil any tools. No idle hands for me. I've been meaning to do an illustrated essay on yaoi bondage porn, limited-literacy picture-reading, and what makes unaccessable texts hot even though I can't read 'em. It'll be fun. It'll be educational. It'll shock the hell out of anyone who looks over my shoulder to see what's on the computer screen. Plus I can play with the digital camera and stuff. Image editing. All kinds of good things await me AND this is keeping me safe from Satan. Who knew porn was so redeeming?
Also, while I like smutty fanfic, not everything I have ever liked in my life has been fruit harvested from the pornocopia. Sometimes I read entirely smut-free stuff with an actual plot. Here's one such. (Full disclosure: I was looking for the SS/HP fanfic with the in-bed quote about dogs fucking when I ran into this. I have not yet found the one I was looking for, but I may someday soon. It was a delight and I could certainly do with rereading it. Note to self: You need to collect and organize your porn. A porn chapbook would probably be appreciated by several friends. Why have you not done this yet?)
