So. I promised track pictures to compensate for my pitiful pace over the Sunday trek. Here are the pictures.



What critters are these? If it helps, I am in the woods of south-central Pennsylvania, up against a huge chunk of state forest and it's late January.

(Yes, we have other critters. This is just what I could get good track pictures of, today. We have a huge damn amount of Critter #3, or else they run races or something.)

#3 is a wild turkey, #4 is a deer (probably a white-tail, given your location). #2 is probably a squirrel, but could also be a rabbit. I can't see the back feet clearly enough to tell, and rabbits are more likely to drag their hind feet a little, which would account for the two long marks in-between the feet foursomes. #1 is too dark (or too indistinct) to tell. You should take a better one tomorrow!
