Bright spot for the day: Tezuka-buchou is FINALLY back from Germany. YAY! He's been doing rehab on his shoulder in Germany since... forever. Er. Okay, since episode 75. We are now on episode 140. Tezuka has been gone for sixty-four episodes. I have waited patiently for his return. And now he's back. YAY. YAY YAY YAY.

Atobe's still very, very hot for him. (No surprise there. Tezuka is quite the hottie. If I were Atobe, I'd be hot for Tezuka too... assuming he's not doing his coach, Sakaki-sensei, who is equipped with significant hotness because he sounds exactly like Akio from Utena (as well he should -- same voice actor does both characters) plus there's that whole coach dynamic going on, a not-to-be-overlooked smut opportunity, particularly if one likes gratuitous budsum.)

Also, and this is after an hour and a half of Tezuka-squee, the Merkin we saw for approximately fifteen seconds at the end of the episode was delightfully cute. Indeed.

And they're making a movie in 2005.

For those in the studio audience who may not be up to speed, here... I'm watching Prince of Tennis (テニスの王子様), an anime about, er, junior high tennis players.
