Mar. 17th, 2008 11:15 pmOh, this is totally cute. I have flash working, so youtube works. I don't know what *doesn't* work at this point.
I'll have to get new utilities for some things and obviously I am going to have to learn how to do stuff again but it's pretty plug-n-play. Like, when I plug my external hard drive into the laptop, It finds the hard drive and plops it on the desktop, as it would for any other mounted drive. You can click-n-explore, just like it was on your XP machine.
There's going to be a learning curve, here, but it's nowhere near as dreadful as I thought it might be. When the biggest things I have to fix are "getting a better program for playing my music" and "finding out why there's no splash screen at boot"... kind of anticlimactic, here.
