Dec. 28th, 2007 06:55 amI went up to pony last night, took Tasha along so that she could watch me not-succeed for an hour. Tasha brought along sheep fleeces from the Shetlands that Glenda Jo has. These are apparently not very tame sheep. They are also not very clean sheep, but I'm washing up some fleece samples to see how they come out. Those are currently drying and should be ready to mess with this weekend.
I left my work boots at the pony lady's. I will get them on Saturday, but for today I have no boots. *sigh* I am an idiot.
Last night, when I got home, I plied the border leicester which came out nicely. I made two-ply, about a hundred yards according to my half-assed count, and it's fairly uniform. I haven't set the twist yet but it's fairly well balanced when skeined up. It looks/feels like real yarn. It's good stuff but not a terribly fine gauge. I'll have some pictures this evening -- I also have to process Holiday Pictures, so it's a good time to work on the camera. I've not mentioned it much, but I love my pvc niddy-noddy. It works really well.
Today at work, people want to see apartments. This is good. Maybe they'll even rent some of them. One can only hope.
