In the mail today I got more sheep fur. It's a different sheep (border leicester, like the sheeps in Babe) in a different color. The fur, it is short(er) and (more) crimpy than the Romney sheep fur. It is black. It is amazingly soft. I am washing up some of it so that I can play with the short, crimpy, black sheep fur. Here's hoping I don't felt it in the washing process.

I have to mix up cookie doughs tonight for the obligatory holiday baking. The holiday beckons apace and I have done no baking. There need to be moravian spice cookies, for which I have the ingredients. There need to be sand tarts, for which I have the ingredients. There need to be currant cookies, for which I forgot to buy the fucking currants because you'd not really need currants for currant cookies. They're not important or anything. I'm a fucking idiot.

Today at work, I made great progress on the grandma picture frame thing. There are pictures of everyone. There are pictures of Dad, of Roy, of Me, of Joe. There are pictures of Gwen and Duncan. There are pictures of SJ. There are pictures of Betsy, of Tyler, of Zach, of Madison. There are pictures of Julie, of Shelby, of Cole. There are pictures of Sandra and of Nathan. There are pictures of Amanda. There are pictures of Jackie. There are pictures of Josh, of little Heather and of Nicholas. There are pictures of Heather and Tess. There are pictures of Dora, of James, Jon, and Jennie. I can't do a whole lot about spouses -- they married in and if I have pictures of them, I used those. If I don't have pictures of spouses, well, them's breaks. I have pictures of all the blood relatives that are directly descended from her and everything else is gravy. Also, interface for the picture thing isn't bad and my abilities on the resize-edit-crop front were not strained. Go me!

I'm progressing on La's xmas present, which is home-made peach leather. It can't be rushed. Even in a wood-heated house, it takes two days for a tray of peach pulp to dry out to leather. I am not sure I will have all of my pulp made into peach leather by the time gifting rolls around... but I'm trying. I'm also making a big effort to not-eat-it myself, which is always a challenge with peach leather.

And how are *your* holiday preparations?

I spent the last two days spinning yarn and not baking cookies, like I said I would. Ohhhh well.
