which_chickI spent the day taking pictures of horses, an activity less exciting than it sounds. Interestingly, some horses that are not-terribly-lovely in real life take good pictures and some lovely-in-person horses look crappy in pictures. The horse pictures were for Tasha's website and thus are not of general interest so I will not bore you with them all. I'll just bore you with a few.
All pictures are on my flickr. The grey horse is Wicky, the welsh pony stud that Tasha is leasing. He's way cuter than the pictures currently on his website suggest. (That was one of the reasons for the horse photo-op session.) I took pictures of other horses but I reckon nobody much is interested in the finer points of assorted broodmares. Anyway, Wicky is not very big. The humans seen in the pictures (they will be cropped out of the final versions, btw) are just about five feet, maybe an inch or two over that.
In other news, I caught the IRH without incident and took her out to look at cars and eat the tall grass some more. That went well. She hasn't limped at all on her skinned-up knee since she skinned it. Apparently she has Timex legs in that they take a licking and keep on ticking. Fine by me -- we're going out up the mountain tomorrow after work. (Trailer tire is fixed!! It does not leak!!)
I'm also going to NYC on Tuesday for cousin Heather's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire thingie. Hopefully there will be suitable ethnic food available to me. And hell, I can take my camera and photograph urban things. (There is no urban where I live.) I should be home Wednesday because ain't no way I can afford a hotel in NYC or any other urban area and I am way too old to sleep in the car. We're driving up in my Cavalier so that nobody will steal our car. I am told that nobody really wants a ten year old stick-shift economy car with a puny four cylinder engine.
