which_chickAs the saying goes, I have good news and I have bad news.
The good news is that Heroin Addict Angela moved out under her own power and without me having to pay two hundred dollars to get a constable to throw her out. Yay!! Total cost savings!
And I believe you mentioned something about bad news?
Er. Yeah. In the process of moving, Heroin Addict Angela opened every window in the apartment fully and left things that way without telling us over the weekend. So, y'know, the pipes froze under the sink in the kitchen. We're pretty sure that the other pipes were OK because they weren't on exterior walls and don't have huge icicles hanging off of them.
At this point, the windows are shut, the water is turned off, the locks have been changed (to "secure our property" and "protect it from vandals") and we'll be back tomorrow inspecting the damage and taking pictures before the cleanup begins. Anybody want an absolutely ugly owned-by-druggies couch? (Not, however, burnt orange like the one on The Wire.)
