I worked on the woodpile project yesterday and today. At the moment, all the wood from this spring is stacked and that which was piled up last winter but got into disarray over the heating season has also been restacked where needed. You're probably thinking that this means I am done. Unfortunately, you'd be wrong. I am not done. I still have some wood left over from last fall that never got stacked back then as well as some entirely unlovely pieces that will probably never make firewood because they're just too unlovely. The stuff that will be firewood needs to be stacked. The stuff that is too unlovely needs to be loaded onto the truck and schlepped to the burn pile where it will eventually get set on fire. And the stuff that is okay firewood but is too long to fit in my stove, that stuff (which I didn't mention in the list of things I still needed to address) needs to be loaded on the truck and schlepped to the lodge and stacked there. So, y'know, not done yet.

The rest of the day's agenda contains such exciting Sunday activities as making bread and doing the wash and so forth. It's possible that I will get done with the woodpile thing today, but not likely. It is possible that there will be mowing today but that's less likely than the stacking getting done. I am tired of stacking at the moment and laundry is really starting to look like more fun. Also, I'd like to go visit the horse this afternoon, so it's not like I have forever to do this stuff. Must get cracking...
