Oct. 23rd, 2008 11:29 pmSpent the evening following Pony (all Thursday nights, barring the random exception due to Pony Lady's schedule are Pony) in preparations for the function at Chez NYR on Saturday. I baked butternut squash. I scooped out the innards of the butternut squash. I ran the squash flesh through the food mill. I measured it to make sure I had enough. (I have slightly more than enough. However, this is SOUP, not rocket science. It'll be fine.) And then, I put the squash puree in the fridge, covered, so that it would be ready for making squash soup tomorrow evening.
After that, or basically, while that was going on, I worked on spinning dark grey alpaca fur. I have a bobbin that is getting quite full, reasonable technique (don't entirely suck now), and about one more hunk of dark grey alpaca fur.
