Jul. 20th, 2005 11:23 pmToday was pretty bipolar.
Bonus: Found missing-for-two-days cell phone
Drag: Face hurts, back of throat itchy due to sinus infection thing
Bonus: Wireless PAT stuff appears to be working swimmingly since I fixed it yesterday
Drag: bad fuse in Saxton took out remote POP for a couple of hours today
Bonus: Got to scream at a ten year old boy until he cried.
Drag: don't figure this will do any damn good in either the long or short runs
(The boy was a tenant's grandchild who poured/squirted one of the big plastic bottles of Heinz ketchup all over the side of our white apartment building. From, y'know, his grandmother's second story window. (This will not be easy to clean off.) The tenant was home, in the same ROOM as the boy, at the time this was going on, and she did not attempt to stop him from doing it. (Melva. *sigh*) After the bottle was empty, the boy threw the plastic ketchup bottle at the lady next door's house. The lady next door, who is a quiet old lady who just wants to be left alone, called me to see if I was going to do anything about this. *sigh* I told the neighbor lady to call the cops and report vandalism so that they'd show up and put the fear of the law into the boy. I went there myself to put the fear of the landlord into the boy.)
Sometimes the bipolarity was paired.
Bonus: Car now has power steering (it's been broken for years) and brakes and rotors
Drag: Three hundred dollars of car repair has now doubled the value of my car (If only!)
Bonus: Less-preferred cat came home today
Drag: With fleas
Bonus: Got to hear part of Harry Potter book-on-CD
Drag: While driving to Saxton to fuck with round glass fuses from the byzantine era
I'm tired now and I'm going to bed.
