Saturday I dinnered (Petit Louis on Roland Ave. in Baltimore) on Mom's nickle. It's damn spiffy French bistro food, if you can afford it. We each had an appetizer and an entree and a dessert and dropped eighty bucks on the food. Sunday, I fixed mom breakfast (strawberry crepes) and then we operaed (Tales of Hoffman) and drove home. That pretty much ate up the weekend.

As expected, there was no time for horses. *sigh* I also drove past the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival on my way to my mother's. I wanted to go to Md S&W, but since I'd already booked the weekend, there wasn't time. Perhaps next year.

And I've got an appointment at the Evil Perio Guy. Yippee. This is just shaping up to be one of them thar days.

Ah. The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival is a celebration of sheep, sheep herding, wool, yarn of the woolish sort, and other related wool-bearing animals like, say, yer standard South American camelids and so forth. There are workshops and seminars and demonstrations and actual sheeps and people who raise sheeps and people who do interesting things with sheep fur and people who make yarns and ... VENDORS. Lots and lots of vendors. Anyway, it's FREE and it's held at the Howard County Fairgrounds (visible on your RIGHT as you tool down I-70 at excessive speed) every year early in May. They have a website: http://www.sheepandwool.org/ (http://www.sheepandwool.org/).

It's over for this year. Wanna go next year?

Oh, no, I was talking about me and my tooling down I-70 at excessive speeds. It'd take all day to get anywhere otherwise, given how far out I live in the boondocks. (Limit -- such an ugly word. I think we should have Speed Suggestions instead.)

Indeed, I made it from Baltimore county to Columbia in under 30 minutes. Mind, that I didn't exceed the 'limit' by more than 15 MPH. I certainly drive my little four banger like I stole it. Oh, friending you btw, too good to pass up :P
