In order to look at things on Instagram, you have to have an Instagram, which I feel is some kind of racket. Like, there's only so much attention a human being has, y'know? I can't social media everywhere when there is just one of me. This is why I don't have a twitter and why my Tumblr is a zombie account like my (old) livejournal. But now I have an Instagram, which okay. Not sure what I'll do with it, but w/e.
Also you have to learn to use the damn thing, like, seriously people, do I really care enough about this shit to learn to use your stupid platform? Is your stupid platform perhaps designed for anything I actually want to do?
Probably not. Fwiw, I kept using Tumblr wrong the whole time I had one. I wanted it to be livejournal and it wasn't and there was this expectation that you'd use it as a circlejerk of reblogging other shit from other people and I just... couldn't do that because it is not really my way. It feels kind of like Instagram is more along the lines of social circlejerk, liking things, putting out content so that other people can see it. All of this social media is quite a bit more social than I actually am.
And videos of me? Oh, please no. If there is anything that I hate more than pictures of me, it has got to be videos of me.
