So ya'll will recall that I moved my Ispahan rose bush to replace my dead snowball bush. For #reasons, I did this on July 9th. Because it's intelligent to move a rose bush during the hottest month of the year. I have the smarts. I R SMRT.
Well, I was mowing the yard Saturday morning early, super early, because it was about 55F out and the yellowjackets are not super active when it's cool out. (It's been quite a year for yellowjackets.) And I looked at my Ispahan because I had to mow around him and stuff. He has no leaves left. None. Nary a leaf.

Shit. Yeah, it looks kinda bad, there.
So I went and got my clippies, my small handheld clippies, and I started to cut off the most-dead-looking parts of my Ispahan. The stems are still kinda not-dead looking. Like, there's green on them and they don't look... shriveled or anything. So I clipped off the brown and crispy bits and turns out that on closer inspection, Ispahan isn't all the way dead. In fact...

Maybe not actually dead. :) Come on, rosebush, you can do it!
