Finally, Oeuf!!

which_chickThose of you who are regular readers will recall that once upon a time, I took a field trip with my friend Lala to acquire some French Maran chickens. I have a Reward For You for your regular reading. :) Those of you who are not regular readers, well, yeah. Sorry. This won't make as much sense for you or be nearly as fulfilling.
Behold, a dozen (dark brown) eggs from the Fancy Maran Chickens!!! At long last!! Go Chickens!
But they don't LOOK very dark brown, you say? Ah, that's because they are all by themselves in bright sunlight and you have nothing to compare them with. Here is another picture, taken indoors, with other eggs in assorted normal (Normal for the Horse People, anyway. They have an assortment of mutt chickens that make a variety of colors from "brown" on the left to "green" on the right) egg colors laid on top of the Maran eggs so that you can see How Very Dark Brown the Maran eggs are.
Truly we are living our best life over here.
