I need to rededicate myself to eating properly (and less) -- my jeans don't fit right anymore. They're tight about six inches above the kneecap. They still fit around the waist and seat, no trouble buttoning them or zipping 'em. But they don't fit right around my mid-thigh. This has happened all of a sudden, like in the last two weeks or so. :( I thought I was doing an OK job of managing portions and food items and exercise for a steady-state bodyweight, but apparently I need to be doing a better job than I am doing.
It is, I suppose, possible that the jean fit problem is due to something other than eating. 4953 feet of elevation two weeks ago. 5801 feet of elevation last week. On track for similar this week. That seems like a lot of elevation work, but the Rothrock (Our course is designed to reward those who have trained and to punish those who haven't.) has about 5000 feet of elevation change over the 30K course. They expect competitors to be able to climb hills... over and over again. I don't think I'm overdoing the hill work. If anything, I'm underdoing it and should probably step it up in May.
But still, my jeans don't fit. I do not want to have to go back to "fat" jeans. I am not fat. Waist and hip measurements are still what they've been (I check about every other day) for the last several months. However, my damn jeans don't fit like they did two weeks ago. They don't pull all the way up easily and they fit weird when I pull them up and this just totally fucking sucks.
