Last year, I got to the pink ladyslippers too late.
I did a bit better this year.
Go me.
I also went over and did the horses and found a deer skull which was neatly cleaned out by assorted little bugs in the woods and things. It had very excellent seams on it. Looks almost like a made-thing.
When I got to my house for the evening, there was the most-recent long-term ex, who is being shipped out to Iraq in a month or so. He was showing up for a booty call. He did not get one. *sigh* I am not in the business of providing booty to our armed forces. Ten years ago it might have worked. These days, no. Older, wiser than that now.
