Help me shop!

Amazon.com gave me a $5 credit for comparing their database to a naked sushi platter. (Not really. I bought some finnish folk music the other day and spent more than twenty five bucks so I got the $5 credit on mp3s. It would have been cooler if it'd been for the naked sushi platter reason, though.)

I need things to spend it on. Tell me some singles that I need to have. In a perfect world, these would be available on mp3 at amazon.com.

Things I don't have would be nice. Stuff that kids today listen to is fine -- I'm well out of that demographic and can therefore use whatever help is available on that front. Hook me up. (Tracks run about a buck per, so I'll need five suggestions.)

You need "Where's me Jumper" by the Sultans of Ping.

While I am amused (frequently) by your enthusiasm for obscure bands from England, Ireland, and surrounding environs, I'm currently looking for things that amazon.com actually has on their mp3 site. Their catalog of mp3s is not as deep as their disc catalog and this, they do not have as an mp3. I did go listen to it on YouTube, though.

Done. I've still got four bucks worth of freebies, people. Help a brother out, here.

Probly not as hip as your other suggestions, but I loove Beck's stuff this year - "Chemtrails", "Orphans" are two good tracks. No, wait - you need Santogold! "L.E.S. Artistes". That is the year's best song. (No idea on which mix.)

Or, for a rhythmier thing, "Great DJ" by the Ting Tings.

Oh yeah, and these are all things that got airplay on WXPN, a triple-A format station (adult album alternative).

I pulled two... had to take a pass on Beck, which I do not understand or enjoy. (I've tried.) I'm also not entirely sure what Adult Album Alternative is, but it is probably for people who are not me. I did pull one of the mixes of L. E. S. Artistes and Great DJ on the strength of their amazon preview thingies.

This leaves me with one freebie left (because I also picked up Bad Things, which is the opening song for HBO's True Blood, the which I have been enjoying in my vampire fixation).

Anybody else? Bueller?

I've been addicted to I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire by the Ink Spots, purely because of its prominent placement in the video game I'm currently playing.

It's weird how games can make me like any genre. Doo-wop, rap, country, grunge, you name it.

Done, and thanks!

For the rest of ya'll, this completes our current round of Help Jessica Shop. With any luck, we'll have more free money to spend at some point in the future and perhaps we can play again. :)
