Horse survived first overnight at Tasha's house. Today, her farrier (Dave Price) came out and put shoes on everything. Since Nick was there, we had her done, too. She stood like a champ despite only having had shoes on once before (front feet only) and now the farrier thinks I'm a dingbat who exaggerates my horse's lack of tolerance for things.



On the plus side, hearing "I don't know what she'll do -- we've never had shoes on her back feet" and having the horse do nothing is a lot better than "No, she won't do anything." and having her dance on the farrier's head. Anyway, I owe Tasha seventy-five dollars and I have a horse with steel shoes all 'round, borium and everything.

Tomorrow we actually go out and ride around on our new shoes. Wish me luck.

I do get your emails to the -begins-with-a-g- email address. Got the last one, in which strawberries (bad) and potatoes (not a problem) were discussed. Have not replied to same because a lot of the time previously spent clicking "check host for new mail" and composing delightful and meaty replies to emails is now being spent on activities equine.

If it's any consolation, I should have some free time before Saturday this week and I will, honest to dog, get you a reply before then. Today is not looking good, though. I have a 4:30 dinner at my cousin Heather's and a 6:00 ride at Tasha's. I will probably get home from work tonight around 9:00.

And Lo, I have arrived home, removed my boots, gotten a bottle of water (rinse out used bottle, run tap until cold, fill bottle), and booted the computer. It is 8:49 PM. (The laptop clock is wrong, wrong, wrong, not sure where LJ gets its time from.)
