All at once and without warning, my LJ will not update if my firewall has been turned on. This is annoying as hell.

Wait, no, it's fine now. Buh? I couldn't get it to post all last night and all this morning so I turn off the fucking firewall and it posts instantly. And I turn the firewall back on and it posts instantly. What gives?

Nope, dead again. Apparently, for no obvious reason, LJ has decided that it needs icmp traffic to let me update my LJ either on the web-based forms or using my client. I wish they would TELL me these things instead of letting me guess them.
