Dec. 4th, 2006 06:58 pmI got a postcard from the
cousin_sue household today. It had a mostly-nekkid bronze guy on it and was from Pompeii. I'd like to point out that the inhabitants of the Fabulous Beige House left Pompeii in ruins following their visit. :) I also got a postcard from my mom today. Mom took a tour of the Harley Davidson factory and sent me Motorcycle coffee and a very delightful handkerchief for my head (it is black and says Harley Davidson on it). It is not very often that I open a wearable present from my mom that is in the exact right color, but this one was just such an item. Go mom! The commemorative postcard (also tastefully black) arrived a bit after the package, but what the hell.
I got to see an episode of Iron Chef America over the weekend. Damn, I like cooking television. :) It made me want to buy a pomegranate, so I picked one up at the store. I also bought apples and some staple food items. There were leeks, but I didn't get any because I did tatie and leek soup the other day and it's time to do something different. I think perhaps tonight I'll make some of the tasty dal with chapatis. (I've already had dinner. This would be pre-emptive cooking aimed towardsInfinity And Beyond! Tuesday.) I ate the tasty dal fairly often last winter and really liked it. I quit making it when I ran out of the moong dal (primary ingredient) last spring but since I picked up more of that when I was in State College for the lake event thing, there is no real reason for me to not be making with the tasty dal again. I'l have to dig up the recipe and get cracking on that.
Finally, this is for the folks with broadband: Sexual Consent

Date: 2006-12-06 01:22 am (UTC)On Firenze: No, they have no shame. Also, if it's marble, bronze, or more than 200 years old, then it is art and not porn.
Michaelangelo would probably like 'em, specially if they were hotties.
