Jun. 2nd, 2011 06:03 amSchlepped up the hill and out the ridge yesterday after work. Garmin data is here if anyone's interested. I am still, six months into it, not a fast runner. I will probably never be a fast runner. However, I am faster than I used to be and six miles is not "really far" like it used to be. There is progress on the wa-jogging front, but it is not particularly making me skinnier.
I do drop weight if I up the workload to five or six days a week and about forty miles a week, but that is a significant time commitment. I'm not going to have time for that once I'm done with Rothrock... it's pony season and I have a pony that needs work for the fall. 3x a week is good for me as a maintenance level of fitness until fall and will let me have time to go play horse, which I honestly prefer to wa-jogging.
