Aug. 12th, 2007 01:19 pmOne of the things that I've taught Nicknick to do is to trot kind of diagonally in response to leg pressure. She faces straight forward, but her body moves off on a 45-degree angle. It's a lateral movement, something most everyday horses don't do much of but can do if they're trained for it. Really good lateral work is pretty damn impressive, as you can see in this video. (Contains images of bullfighting, so if that's a problem for you, don't look.) Also, the guy on the horse? Has one HELL of a seat. Wish I could ride like that.
