It's that time of year again and there appears to be a certain amount of expectation that I'm going to comment on The Con, particularly from the not_your_real and ladyivy quarters. *sigh* I have already said everything I wanted to say on the subject. All ya'll want to continue on, you're free to do so. As for me, though, no. I'm done. I'm not staffing and I'm not attending. I said I was done last year at the wrap meeting and again at the October planning meeting. Nominating me for leadership positions didn't stay my going. (I just love that construction...) I don't want to discuss the matter further, so would you please quit poking me with a stick? I'm not going to 'eat my heart out' over it. I'm not going to comment on your ongoing... er... ongoingness.

I am, however, smirking. Lots.

AHA! I knew you used to be on staff (because I helped update the staff list last year) but for the life of me I couldn't remember what department. ^_^

I am very happy that my involvement in The Con is solely on the outskirts. If someone asks me something, the appropriate response is "Dude, I just answer the email." There is no need for me to physically be in Baltimore for any reason. (To tell the truth, my job only gets done when I'm *not* in Baltimore.)

Every time I think "maybe I should get more involved," I read journals like yours and remember that I don't want to be more involved ^_^
