Efforts at composition continue. I'm still having difficulty expressing concepts like therefore and because. Hell, there are entire undiscovered continents of things I don't know how to say, here. *sigh* This time we explore the intricacies of past tense a little more thoroughly, including the conjugation of adjectives. I think I did them right...



蟻と飛蝗
(The ant and the grasshopper)

昔昔ある所に、蟻と飛蝗がいった。毎日の夏で蟻が冬の食べ物を拾いました。冬の火に枝を蓄えました。蟻は真面目でした。同時に、毎日の夏で、飛蝗は笑って歌って遊いました。「蟻さん、仕事を止めて。いい天気だから一緒に遊ぶんだよ。」でも、蟻は勤めました。そうして飛蝗は、一人で遊いました。夏が終わいました。秋が始めましたと終わいました。あとで冬がありました。酷い天気と大雪がありました。とても寒かったです。蟻は嬉しかった。食べ物がありました。蟻の家は暖かかったです。飛蝗は笑いませんでした。歌いませんでした。遊いませんでした。冷たかった。饑えました。飛蝗が凍え死いました。

Therefore and because: aren't these both basically handled with kara? As in A dakara, B: A therefore B, or because A, B.

I think you're right that at least some of them are. *sigh* Half the problem is that I still think in English and in English, I can not write myself into a corner. I suppose that I once had to learn to compose things in English, but it's certainly been a while and I don't recall the process.
