No heat until november

This time of year I play No Heat Until November, which pretty much describes the entirety of the game. Things allowed: bathroom heater while showering, doing laundry (dryer vents into the house for humidity and warmth in winter), running oven to make pot roast or similar, heating pad to be warm on couch, lap rug on couch, electric mattress pad to heat up bed.

Things not allowed: building a fire, turning up the electric heat.

So far, so good. Halfway to November. (It was in the fifties this morning in my house. I get dressed quickly.) Bonus: the cats are very affectionate this time of year because I am toasty warm to sit on.

No Heat Until November is only one seasonal game. Another is Winning at Christmas where if I do not encounter "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" (my least-favorite xmas song) until Christmas morning, I have won at Christmas. But that does not start until December 1, so, not time for it yet.
