One a day, plus iron

I do not mean to sound harsh, but I don't know how to articulate this smoothly. But I have to say that most US-candy I've tasted is along the lines of what you describe. It doesn't taste... genuine? Mostly it is incredibly sweet and artificial, and lacking what I'd call flavour. Granted, all I've tasted is made by some gigantic corporations, and imported to here as a curiosity, and that's generally not a winning setup. The more local US-candies one has seen on the internet look like they are much nicer.
