She's settling back into being in the house. Not super-thrilled about food (she's 12) so I picked up some white-meat canned chicken for her today to see how that went over. She ate a fair amount of it, with enthusiasm, and is now sitting on my lap and being social. I may have to transition her to wet food if she isn't interested in the dry anymore.

Wet food is probably a good idea. Older cats tend to get tooth and kidney stuff going on, and wet food helps. I'm glad your cat is okay though. Damn.
