By which I mean I restacked and tidied the woodpile due to the past season's depredations. This is always an adventure because one never knows what one might find in the woodpile. Slugs. A LOT of slugs. Spiders, beetles, many-legged-things, ants, yeah all that's to be expected.
Hint: It's never Spanish galleon treasure. I do not live near the coast. It's also never plundered Confederate gold.
Two salamanders, Long-tailed and Slimy. Two snakes, Garter and Eastern Milk Snake.
Of course there are pics. This is the internet. Pics or it didn't happen.
Long-tailed Salamander. Sorry he's blurry, he was moving fast.

I have other pictures of different times (not the same one). Here's one from before...

Slimy Salamander:

Garter snake (NOT SQUISHED, HE's FINE):

Eastern Milk snake:

Yay adventures in woodpile stacking. Now I'm gonna go play odes.
