As I noted the other day, it's been cold outside. Today, I braved the cold to go up to the Logan Valley Mall and do a two-minute interview for Survivor, the television show. I also had to fill out an application, which I printed out and completed ahead of time.

I had all my ducks in a row for the Survivor stuff. Unlike a lot of the hopefuls, I can read for meaning and therefore did not have to spend my pre-interview time worrying about things like "When will I hear something?" (Probably before March) and "Do I need to have a passport, for real?" The interview (taped, hopefuls get two minutes to talk about themselves and why they'd be good Survivors.) went as well as can be expected. I hate prepared speeches but trying to fill two minutes of air time without preparing is a bit of a bitch, even when you're doing it on a known topic, like, say, yourself.

We (cousin Heather went with me, or rather I went with her -- it was her idea) were surprised at how many people were just plannning on winginging their two miutes of shame.

After we did our little speeches, I bought a smoker for baconing and we had dinner at Applebee's. Heather had never enjoyed buffalo wings and pina coladas so that's what we both got (my pina colada without liquor, obviously, though on reflection, I could have used the fortification.) I got home to discover that my ansewring machine was full of unhappy messages.

Fuck. More later as I am really quite tired and cannot keep my eyes open.
