Sock progress: 8 1/2" of sock. Yay. Today was a good sock day. Also, told you I'd get back into the swing of this sock knitting stuff. In the course of working on the HoHI, I've been rewatching Veronica Mars, mostly because I have the serious hots for Logan. He's so... snarky. I'm a sucker for good snark. The pretty doesn't hurt, either.

I spent the whole day at work running around. It was a busy day, didn't feel like I accomplished much, but I guess I got some things done. In a surprising twist of affairs, I went 2 for 2 on plumbing (a bathtub drain and a sink aerator) which was kind of alarming. I never go 2 for 2 on plumbing. Somewhere along the line, a pipe is going to explode in my face for this one. Plumbing is very karmic like that.

For dinner I had one of my favorite not-good-for-me food items, cabbage-n-bacon. Take three pieces of bacon and chop 'em up small. Fry until crisp. Add half a small head of cabbage, sliced up really thin. Cook on low-ish heat until cabbage is slightly browned and all soft throughout. Salt and pepper until you feel good about it. Eat. (No, silly, you don't drain off the bacon grease. The bacon grease is to make the cabbage taste like bacon. It works, too. It's like having an entire pan full of bacon, only slightly better for me than an entire pan full of bacon. I don't really want to discuss my bacon addiction, here.)

*sigh* I seriously did a double-take on that first sentence, even though I knew what it actually said. Why do I fail so hard?

If it'd been what you *thought* it was, there'd have been boldface type and probably also some exclamation points.

That sounds so good.

I found that brussells sprouts, which I dislike, taste much better with bacon and slivered carrots.
