I went to a craft fair in Shippensburg today. Boy, was it hot out. It was totally hot. The sticky was also out in force. Anyway, I took some pictures of the CBE and posted the best of the lot on my flickr. Please go look at them and come back here and tell me what you think is the cutest of today's CBE pictures because someone (not me) wants to enter the CBE in a Cute Baby Contest. I'm not asking for much, here. I went through the gazillion pictures (211-417, so approximately two hundred shots by actual count) and picked out six or so that didn't suck. Surely, you can look at six and pick one, right?

for a Cute Baby contest, either 3 or 4. I'm a little more partial to 4, but 3 may do better as a contest entry. my actual favorite is #6, but I don't think it would be the best entry for just Cute

For some reason 2 cracks me up. That expression looks so serious, like she's on a security detail or something. "What's that guy up on that building doing? Rogers, Mendez, take a squad and check it out."

I suppose 3 is the most stereotypically Cute Baby though.

Brother-the-younger and his wife like #3 also. My mom likes #4 better for the Cute Baby contest. (She's also partial to "frowning baby" as per wynnsfolly for her own personal favorite.)

I'm having a hell of a time deciding between #3 and #4 for the contest. I like #4 better because her curls are more visible and her smile is prettier. It's got more shape, the smile does. Also, in #4, the light in her eyes is just right.

While #3 has warmer overall lighting, the nice effect of sunlight on her hair, and a brighter and less-annoying background, it doesn't have eyes that are lit as well as #4. Also, #3 has a happier-but-less-cute expression -- some people might not get the open-mouthed joy thing as seen in #3. (In fairness, I bet those are only people who have never met actual babies.)
